This will be our first time opening with the poetry prize. We are looking for the best single poem on any theme. We will accept previously published poems (please just let us know where they were first published.)

Send poems to this email address – roughpoetryprize@gmail.com and confirm your payment to PayPal with the transaction id. All poems should be sent in the body of an email. In the subject of your email please put your full name and how many poems you are submitting. E.g. Charlotte Cosgrove 3 poems
At this stage we will not need bios from anyone and any identifying information will be taken off so that the submissions are read blind. Only send submissions for the competition to the above email. All other enquiries should be sent to roughdiamondpoems@gmail.com
We know poetry prizes can be contentious but after much thought we have decided that this is something we feel is a good thing. Obviously poetry can often be subjective but we also think its a good way to showcase what we feel is the best poetry being written today. If we receive any messages that are disrespectful or unkind we will ignore your email. We are not here for this.
Rough Diamond Poetry
